Hand-Carved Italian Limestone is among the most durable of all the stone materials. Quarried in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains in northern Italy, it has been used since ancient Roman times, and is well known for its lasting beauty and artistic qualities. When quarried, its soft texture allows for the finest detailing during the carving process, however, becomes harder as the stone cures, making it resistant to all weather conditions. Because these items are entirely carved by hand, every item is unique and can be customized to the client’s request.
